Wild Wild Web

Nowadays, there has been news spreading around about bloggers' behaviour and their blogs. There's one article that caught my eyes in yesterday's paper.

"We cannot control them. If in the old days we used to have Wild Wild West, now we have Wild Wild Web."

LOL.

To be honest, no one can control the Web loggers. Even if you shut down all the blog hosts, we still can publish our own websites. HTML coding is so easy to learn and even you're such a dummy, you can still build your own page by using web builders like Front Page and Dreamweaver. Even Notepad can be used by us.

Sad but true, no one can really stop us.

But then, is every blogger really mean? I mean, does each and every one of the bloggers use his blog just to throw off all the harsh words and does nothing but cursing and spreading fake news?

It's true that some of the bloggers really use their blogs as a platform to spread around fake news, criticism and gossips. Sometimes they are just way over the top. I did found some blogs with really mean and offensive words criticising every inch they can like there's no tomorrow. Artists and politicians are usually their main targets (Maybe that's because most of them are hypocrites). As a matter of fact, I did criticized some of the things that I thought somewhat deserved to be criticized.

But hey, the article was right. Bloggers need to have some self-censorship eventhough it is still up to them to use their own discretion when disseminating information on the Internet.

As a blogger, I do think that all the bloggers especially locals need to stop whatever they're doing wrong. Criticizing is okay but it's best if we do it in a proper manner. Take the best example, Siti and Datuk K are currently the main targets because most of the fans are totally upset with their marriage. (Well, uh.. to me, this topic is freaking boring.) Do y'know that the forum in Siti's official website has been temporarily closed due to overwhelming reactions from the fans?

What if you were in her shoe? Or someone that has been criticized too hard? Fans are meant to be supporters, right?

I think the government emphasis to stop jerking around is totally right. Stop exploiting your own blog.

And my final advice would be, stop shitting mann..
