Student beaten to death by seniors at hostel

SEREMBAN: Fourteen Form Five students of a top religious school here have been arrested for allegedly beating to death a 16-year-old schoolmate at their hostel on Sunday evening.

The seniors are said to have attacked Mohamad Faris Ibrahim because they were jealous of him for being a top student and popular with teachers despite being a newcomer to the SM Agama Datuk Klana Putra Ma’amor.

A hostel warden found Mohamad Faris sprawled in a pool of blood in his bed at about 7pm on Sunday after the boy failed to turn up at the dinning hall for dinner.

OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Abdullah said the warden took the boy to the hospital, where doctors found that Mohamad Faris was already dead.

The warden then lodged a police report at the hospital police beat base at 7.30pm.

Police quizzed students staying in the hostel before arresting the 14 seniors at 8am yesterday.

ACP Mohamad said police had classified the case as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

It is learnt that some of the seniors had also attacked Mohamad Faris on Friday after accusing him of stealing a kettle from one of them.

Sources said the assailants tied Mohamad Faris to his bed and assaulted him in front of others living in the same dormitory..

The seniors again attacked Mohamad Faris on Sunday at 4pm, again in front of other boys who did not dare interfere.

The 14 suspects were brought before magistrate Suhaila Harun, who granted a four-day remand order for police to facilitate investigations.

Headmistress Johara Nawawi said she did not want to comment because police were still investigating the matter.

Classmates and teachers said Mohamad Faris was transferred to the fully residential school a month ago and was a brilliant student and involved in various co-curricular activities.

SM Agama Datuk Klana Putra Ma’amor is one of the top religious secondary schools in the country. Only select students from all over the country are sent to the school, which comes under the purview of the State Religious Department.

The school frequently achieves a 100% pass rate in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examination.

Met at the victim’s house in Taman Desa Anggerik, Senawang, Mohamad Faris' uncle, Mohd Mazuki Ishak, 52, an officer attached to the Selangor Education Department, said his nephew had lodged a complaint with the school authorities over an earlier brawl.

Mohd Mazuki also claimed that the school authorities had told Mohamad Faris’ family that the boy died from a fall.

“But the post-mortem revealed that he succumbed to multiple internal injuries including ruptures in both kidneys.

“We were taken aback when the hospital confirmed the cause of death,” said Mohd Mazuki, who lodged a police report on behalf of the victim’s family.

Mohamad Faris’ parents, Ibrahim Maadah, 49, and Norizan Ishak, 46, were too distraught to talk to the press.

Paroi assemblyman Bibi Sharliza Mohd Khalid, who visited the family, urged the school to bear full responsibility and help in investigations.

“The school must not ignore the fact that a fatal incident occurred in its compound,” she added.

Mentri Besar Datuk Mohamad Hasan said he viewed the incident seriously.

“I have asked for a report on the incident immediately,” he said.

This is why sometimes I just hate my own race.

Sekarang ni, kite digemparkan pulak dengan isu samseng yang makin berleluasa di negara kite. Aku yg sekadar membaca berita ni pun terase meluap-luap api kemarahan, ape lagik ibubapa mangse tu sendirik. Ape dah jadik dengan anak Melayu ni? Nak jadi ape ni?? Masuk sekolah lek lok, tapi wat taik lak!

Aku rase kekadang orang Melayu ni nak kene ajar agaknye baru nk sedar. Bayangkan 14 orang budak hingus tuuu yang terlibat! Diorang pikir ape sebenarnye? Takkan la hanye sebab jeles sampai nak membunuh anak orang? Ape laa dosa si mangse tu? Kalau lah aku ni ibu kepade salah seorang setan tu, dah memang aku blasah anak aku sampai lunyai. Malu aku dapat anak yg muda2 lagi dah bergelar pembunuh.

Yg mengecewakan aku, of course, pihak sekolah. Diorang sanggup tutup cerite ni untuk cover malu. Sampailah akhirnye berite ni terbongkar, bukan diorang leh wat ape2 pun. Kalau dah sampai tahap membunuh, sampai bile pun diorang ley cover?

Dah lama dah aku peratikan... yg duk membuat dajal ni semua sape? takde lain laa... bangsa aku sendiri, orang Melayu. Aku bukan nak perlekehkan orang Melayu.. Tapi tah lah, aku malu lahir daripada bangsa yg dah makin rosak. Bukan setakat samseng je.. yg merogol.. membunuh... merompak.. meliwat... tu semua kat negeri kite tuu, rata2 keje sape tu??

Sampai satu tahap tu, aku tak tau di mane letaknye keistimewaan bangse aku untuk aku sanjung dan martabatkan? Di mane? Aku tak nampak ape2 pon!

Undang2 kat Malaysia lagi satu.. Tak cukup tegas. Aku memang kurang arif laa pasal undang2 ni.. aku bukan amik Law pun.. tp dr segi pemikiran seorang manusia laaa, aku rase kite orang Malaysia ni manje sangat lah.

Orang duk heran..apesaiiii la orang Melayu (org Islam!) yang selalu wat perangai keji macam tu? Apesal tak orang lain..bangse lain... Kenape yerk? Aku cuma tau satu jawapan jer.. Dalam ceramah yg penah aku dengar.. Ustaz tu cakap, kite ni orang Islam.. musuh syaitan.. Jadik of coz laa kite yg selalu kene hasut dek setan kan? Watpe setan nak kacau orang lain...yang pd die, tu semua membe2 die belaka? Of coz la die akan kacau kite...orang Islam ni.. orang Melayu ni. Tapi takkan jawapan ni yg aku nak bagi kalau orang bukan Islam yang tanye???

Satu sifat manusia ni.. suke blaming each other. No offense, aku rase bangse kite kot yg paling byk sifat ni. Cam dalam politik ar..satgi kaler tuu salahkan kaler ni.. Satgi kang kaler ni salahkan kaler tu.. Biase la.. main tolak2.. main tunjuk2 je.. Aku tak suke tol orang yg suke salahkan orang lain. Benci sangat. Walaupun kekadang mmg salah orang lain, tapi tak boleh ke pikir silap sendiri jugak?

Nih..dah bangsa sendirik wat silap.. alih2 setannnn jugak yg nk disalahkan.. Ah, setan pun setan laa..asalkan bukan aku yg dipersalahkan! Macam tu? Bukan kalau tak kerana tipisnye iman di dada tuu ke penyebab semua petaka ni timbul?

Entahlah... aku tak tau la pemikiran orang lain macamane... tapi ini la yang aku duk pikir. Selama aku mengenal dunia sebenar.. aku jugak kenal macam2 keletah orang kite.. Sampai bile? Sampai bila-bila?

Dah la..aku nk pi study. Adios.
